Last weekend Cedric Benson apparently left the game during the middle of the Bears’ game against the San Diego Chargers. Some of Chicago’s higher ups are apparently less than pleased with Benson’s apparent lack of commitment and they let him know it. And Benson is evidently about as popular with Chicago’s other players as he is with Bears top brass. According to The Orlando Sentinel, the separated shoulder that resulted in Benson missing the first three exhibitions of the pre-season was a result of being hit harder and more often by the Bears defensive line during training camp.
Even after being punished for his absence by head coach Lovie Smith, Benson isn’t worried. He recently told reporters in Chicago “Somebody could be your worst enemy one day, and then you do something great and they’re your best friend. Unfortunately, that’s just the nature of human beings, and that’s what we’re dealing with here. I’m pretty sure that once we play and have a couple of successful outings, all of this will get turned around.”
Tickets for upcoming Chicago Bears games are, as always, available on the Bears page on StubHub: Chicago Bears Tickets
What’s all the hubbub about Chicago Bears tickets? Okay, the Chicago Bears always seem to have at least one truly great player that’s worth the price of admission by himself. And with the great Brian Urlacher on defense, Bears tickets are hot commodities once again. But the Bears will need to score points in 2006 to get back to the Super Bowl. With a QB question hanging over Coach Lovie Smith, will they do it?
To find out, many people will want to see their historic team at historic Soldier Field, which has just experienced a stunning remodeling effort that has brought all the modern amenities into a classic venue. Some people may look to buy a Chicago Bear ticket simply to see the stadium. That’s why we’ve launched this Chicago Bears blog to give you and other fans, buddies, couples, families and businesses the latest sports news and information about football ticket sales.
Who are we? According to William Grimes of The New York Times, “To anyone surfing the Web, StubHub looks like a ticket brokerage. It’s not. The company, founded (in 2000) by a couple of Stanford Business School students, is a kind of stock market where the only shares traded are tickets to live events….Buyers and sellers mingle in the marketplace and, through free negotiation, arrive at a price that reflects the true value of a commodity.” StubHub is also an Official Sponsor of the Chicago Bears.
Now that we’ve disclosed our transparent biases, may we offer a suggestion? If you want to buy Chicago Bears tickets, it would be wise to get your hands on them as soon as possible. Last weekend, ticket prices ranged from $75 to $6,495. And the best tickets to the best games will go faster than you can say, “DAAA Bears.” Try Chicago Bears Tickets
