Chicago Bears enjoy Bye week and now it’s back to work

When you’re part of a seemingly unstoppable juggernaut with a 6-0 record and then given a three day weekend, it’s easy to enjoy yourself.

The Chicago Bears returned to practice today and the mood in the locker room was light. Players kicked around soccer balls and recounted stories of their weekend visits to friends, family and Alma Mata.

But make no mistake. The Bears are back from break and it’s time to get back to work. And while everybody is comparing these Bears to the Bears that won the Super Bowl in 1986 against the New England Patriots, most of these Bears are not old enough to remember those Bears. Defensive End Alex Brown said, “I was in kindergarten.”

The talk around the Bears is still of last weekend’s amazing comeback victory against the Arizona Cardinals. Down by 20-points late in the third quarter, the Bears rallied for a 24-23 win. Many fans remained concerned that Grossman and the offense need to spend more time figuring out last weekend so the Bears don’t need another miracle to remain undefeated. Sure the Bears won last weekend, but it wasn’t pretty.

The Chicago Bears look to remain undefeated this weekend against the San Francisco 49ers. Chicago Bears Tickets are available through Stubhub.
