Chicago Bears at St. Louis Rams Preview

The Chicago Bears will take on the St. Louis Rams tomorrow night in St. Louis.  The Bears won’t be home again until December 17 when they will take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  Chicago Bears Tickets to the Bucs game cost anywhere between $73 and $2,000 on Stubhub.com.  In the meantime, all eyes are on the Bears and Rex Grossman, the Bears’ struggling starting quarterback.  With a record of 10-2, the Bears are the only team in the NFL to have clinched a playoff berth, and fans are concerned that as long as Grossman is the one taking the snap, they won’t make it far once the postseason begins.

For now, the Chicago Bears players are solidly behind their starter, voicing confidence that Grossman will lead them all the way this season.  But the report this week is that Chicago Bears Coach Lovie Smith is running out of patience for Grossman and reports are circulating, saying that backup quarterback Brian Griese has started seeing more action this week during practice.

Grossman was unstoppable early on

Grossman seemed to be virtually unstoppable during the first six weeks of the season, boasting an NFL’s second-best 100.8 passer rating.  But with Grossman’s confidence in the toilet lately, he has raised many eyebrows and failed to anti-up, producing only a 1.3 passer rating against the Vikings last weekend.  Monday night’s game against the Rams may very well be the defining game of his career.  Either he will rebound, or vanish quietly from the gridiron.
