The Chicago Bears absolutely feasted upon the St. Louis Rams last night, defeating the Rams by a score of 42-27. Chicago Bears Tickets remain for their final two home games of the season against the Buccaneers next weekend and then the Packers on New Years Eve. Rex Grossman, knowing that a bad first half might leave him on the bench indefinitely, regained some of his old flair and completed 13 of 23 passes for 200 yards and 2 touchdowns and no interceptions as the Chicago Bears went on to claim a win and first-round bye in the playoffs. The Bears currently have the best record in the NFL at 11-2.
Rex Grossman would have been the hero for the game had it not been for that pesky rookie out of Miami, Devin Hester. The speedy Hester set an NFL record with his fifth and then sixth returns for TDs to totally deflate the Rams. He returned one in the second quarter for 94-yards and then another in the fourth quarter for 96 yards.

With Hester moving and Grossman throwing the ball again to the right people, the Bears inched their way even closer to having home field advantage through the playoffs. The other big news to surround the Bears is that Democratic Presidential hopeful and Illinois Senator Barack Obama announced his support of his hometown team, the Bears. “I’d like to put all doubts to rest,” he joked with reporters.
