Brett Favre and Green Bay Packers silence Chicago Bears

Though the Chicago Bears enter the playoffs as the Number 1 seed in the NFC, they hardly looked the part this past weekend as Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers had their way with the Bears. In what may very well have been the final game of his career, Brett Favre was dominant, and Rex Grossman looked dazed and confused. The Packers defeated the Bears 26-7. The Bears will enjoy a much needed week of rest before playing in the NFC Divisional round. Chicago Bears Playoff Tickets are available through Stubhub.com for anywhere from $140 and up.

Rex Grossman

There was some talk after the game that Favre may in fact return for a 17th season in the NFL. This would leave Chicago Bears fans much chagrinned, as the Packers and Brett Favre seem to have been the only team this year that could figure out and dominate the Bears. And as Favre showed his greatness yesterday, the Bears were left to worry about Rex Grossman as they go into the playoffs. The Bears starting quarterback started the season strong, and then has struggled the rest of the way. His team may have been able to carry him this far, but many worry that Grossman will choke in the high-pressure setting of the post season. Grossman threw three interceptions in the first half, two of which were returned for touchdowns. He finished the game 2 for 12 with 33 yards.
