The Bears Draft Picks

The Chicago Bears were one of 32 NFL franchises that participated in the 2007 Annual Player Selection Meeting, most popularly known as the draft.  Let’s take a look at what the Bears took home from the two day event.  255 selections were made total and the Bears had nine picks over the seven rounds.

Beginning with a round one selection at number 31 overall the Bears chose tight end Greg Olsen from Miami, defensive end Dan Bazuim from Central Michigan as number 62 (from San Diego), Northern Illinois running back Garrett Wolfe as number 93 (from San Diego) and their final round three, number 94 pick, Stanford line backer Michael Okwo.

In the fourth round at number 130 the Bears took Boston College outside guard Josh Beckman, fifth round number 167 (from San Diego) Louisiana-Moore safety Kevin Payne, and fifth round number 168 New Hampshire line backer Corey Graham.  The Bears had two seventh round picks at number 221 (from San Francisco through Cleveland) they chose Ole Miss corner back Trumaine McBride, and at number 241 Iowa State’s offensive lineman Aaron Brant.  See the Bears in the 2007 NFL season by getting your game day tickets at StubHub.com.
