Tank Johnson, Bears Defensive Tackle and possessor of one of the coolest football names on the planet, is out of jail, according to an espn.com report. The troubled player was released on good behavior from the Cook County Jail only halfway into his 120 day sentence. One would think this would bode well for his next penalty, which will come at the hands of NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.
Tank is scheduled to meet with Goodell this Wednesday, after which is will almost surely receive some sort of suspension. One would suspect that the length of that suspension will have something to do with whether or not the new commish feels that Johnson is truly committed to changing his ways. Goodell has ruled so far with a fairly iron fist, most notably suspending Pacman Jones for an entire season for his off-field antics.
