Blood Tests Show Tank not Intoxicated

according to espn.com, the results of Tank Johnson’s blood test came back and Tank was below the legal limit when he was pulled over in Arizona for speeding.  Johnson, who was released by the Bears last week following his arrest, was. 008 under the legal limit of .08.  The Bears have not yet commented on this story.  Nor has Gene Wojciechowski issued any sort of public apology to Johnson for calling him “stupid” in an article last week following the arrest.

I don’t mean to sound like a Tank Johnson apologist, but the dude was basically pulled over and booked for being black and driving too fast late at night.  I’m a skinny white kid.  You put me in the same situation, going 40 in a 25, kinda buzzed, and I guarantee you the worst I get out with is a speeding ticket.  This is a huge black eye for the Bears organization, who jumped the gun and cut Johnson before the facts came out in this case.  They stood by him when he had problems with people in his posse being killed, and him illegally owning a ton of guns.  That they were okay with.  But once Tank got racially profiled, that was pretty much it for them.  Laughable.  Here’s hoping Tank Johnson can stay out of the public eye and focus on getting his life together, so that he can come back and silence his critics once and for all upon his return.
