Bears Sign First Round Pick

The Chicago Bears became the first team to sign their first round pick, signing rookie tight end Greg Olsen out of the University of Miami to a contract with the team, sources at espn.com report.  This makes the Bears the first team to have all their draft picks signed for the second year in a row.  The Bears enter training camp with no fear of any rookie hold-outs, which is certainly a good thing.

The Bears once again have outdone themselves, structuring a deal that is beneficial both to themselves and the player, in a way that protects them very well if the player were to not fulfill all the obligations of his contract.  The Bears also make out like bandits, having signed the best tight end on the draft board to a contract before training camp, the Bears now have a leg up on the competition, in that they can basically just focus on training camp from here on.  Kudos once again to the Bears, who continue to make this look easy.
