Chalk Talk about Hester

Once again, we have very little Bears news to report, so we hit up Chalk Talk.  The questions in this one are particularly awesome, ranging from “have the Bears considered moving Devin Hester to running back?” to “What do you think of wide receiver Devin Thomas as a draft pick for the Bears?” to “Would you like to see Brett Favre in a Bears uniform?”  I didn’t make that last one up.  That is a legitimate question from a certifiably insane Bears fan who should be ashamed of himself.  I mean, who in God’s name actually wants to see Brett Favre in a Bears uniform?  Satan?  Insanity.

As for the other two actual football questions, I liked the answers given by Larry Mayer.  While it seems great in theory to put Hester in the backfield and let him carve up defenses, it’s not as though his skills as a kick returner would immediately transfer to being a great running back.  Hester is also a bit too small to be a running back in the NFL.  As for Devin Thomas, I like him a ton as a prospect for the Bears.  So does Mayer.  Hopefully the Bears see what we see and continue to bolster their young and talented receiving corps.
