Mark Bradley is Ready to be #1.

Bears fans should quit worrying about their offense.  They don’t need to worry about the fact that they have re-signed two quarterbacks who have proven their inefficiency in every aspect of the game of the professional football to one-year deals as a sort of a band-aid on a bullet wound for the position.  Bears fans shouldn’t worry that Cedric Benson will be going in the fifth round or later of most fantasy football drafts this year.  They shouldn’t worry about any of this, because Mark Bradley says he is ready to be the Bears #1 receiver.

No offense to the young man on whom the Bears saw fit to use a second-round pick to acquire in the 2005 NFL draft, but I’m not sure how to take this bit of information. While it’s nice to see that the receiver does not suffer from a dearth of self-confidence, I don’t think his assurances should really quiet the concerns of the entire offense.  Luckily, Lovie Smith has commented further.  He seems to have a much more realistic view of the situation, and one can even assume he has a plan for improving the Bears’ offense next year.  So the Bears are in good hands.
