Bears Look to Draft for Third String Tight End

I want to say nice things about the Bears.  I want to say really good, positive things about the organization.  Last offseason, i sung the praises of all the work Rex Grossman was doing to get his career back on track and lead the Bears back to the Super Bowl.  Even as the season was slipping away last year, I begged Bears fans to not lose hope until all hope was truly lost.  Even this offseason, I have tried to accentuate the positives, highlighting the fact that the Bears are still extremely solid on defense and special teams.  So you see, I do try to talk up the Bears, but sometimes they make it very difficult.

Take this story about how the Bears are looking to the draft for a third string tight end.  That’s all well and good, but shouldn’t the Bears have other priorities in the draft?  They Bears are depleted in terms of many first-stringers on offense.  They need strong starters at many positions, and they should be focused on getting those players.  I can’t mince words on this.  The Bears need a good draft, and if they can get a solid third string tight end in the late rounds that is great.  If the Bears don’t have a spectacular draft, I will remain positive, but I can’t say the same for their fan base.
