July 2, 2008

The Chicago Bears have inked deals with more of their draft picks by signing defensive tackle Marcus Harrington to a deal along with Earl Bennett and Zach Bowman.  Harrison’s contract is a $2.4 million, four-year deal with a $690,000 signing bonus.  He was the Bears’ third round draft pick and the 90th overall pick.  Harrison started all four years all Arkansas and had 186 tackles while he was there.

Wide receiver Bennett was the 70th overall pick and also a third-round choice for the Bears.  His contract was around $3 million.  Cornerback Bowman’s contract is said to be around $1.95 million.   He was chosen in the fifth round and the 142nd overall pick.   Two other draft choices have yet to sign deals and happen to be the two top picks for the bears, offensive tackle Chris Williams and running back Matt Forte.  Williams was chosen in the first round as the 14th overall pick, and Forte was picked up in the second round and 44th overall.  The Bears have secured deals with 10 out of 12 of their draft picks.
