Fans Weigh Chance of Favre as Bear

Favre as a Bear?  It may sound crazy, but that is the buzz around the NFL rumor mill. Articles have been surfacing for the past week about the supposed desire of Brett Favre to return to the NFL and that the Green Bay Packers may not be his return destination.  Aaron Rogers is set to take over at Green Bay for Favre while many other teams, including the Chicago Bears, are not so fortunate in the quarterback position.

The only team that should put up more of a fight against this than the Packers should be the Chicago Bears.  While it would be nice to have a veteran quarterback who is adept at finding receivers, the loss of integrity would not be worth the yards gained.  For year, Brett Favre has been a thorn in the side of all Chicago fans, and you can’t turn around and welcome someone like that as part of the team.  The question was posed to Larry Mayer of ChalkTalk on the Chicago Bears website, and he seemed doubtful that the Bears would welcome Favre.  I, for one, hope the Bears keep their dignity and do not sign Favre.
