Forte Impresses Again

Matt Forte continues to make a name for himself around Chicago as an upstanding young man and a great addition to the roster.  In a recent interview with The New Orleans Times-Picayune, Forte said, “It’s a great task. I’m just happy to be in that situation. It’s a big dream, and we always dream big. So just to be in these shoes right now is a blessing. I’m just ready to prove myself and hopefully, have a career where I can eventually be mentioned among those names. I think I’ve been placed in the perfect situation, with the history of the running backs for the Bears and also the city of Chicago, which is all about Bears football. So I don’t think there’s any better situation that I could have been in.”

He is, of course, talking about being the potential starting running back for the Chicago Bears with Cedric Benson gone and Adrian Peterson as clearly a backup.  He seems like a man who understands what Chicago Bears football is all about and the rich legacy of football in the Windy City. I, for one, couldn’t be more excited about this rookie.  Hopefully he can live up to my (and many more fans’) expectations.
