Hester Gets Endorsement Deal

Endorsement deals, especially with high-profile companies, normally mean a player has come into his own.  Devin Hester can now be added to that list as he is the newest spokesman for Under Armour. Hester is best known for his incredible kick returns and he returned six for touchdowns just last season. He will be appearing in a commercial with Seattle Seahawk Patrick Kerney and 49er Patrick Willis.

Hester is a perfect choice as a spokes person for Under Armour.  The company’s senior vice president, Steve Barrista says this about why they picked Hester, “He says everything we want to about speed and performance.”

Hester has been a standout on kick and punt returns, but the Bears have even bigger plans for him this season.  The Bears are trying him at wide receiver hoping he can bring his speed and agility to the offense.  In a recent interview with Larry Mayer, receiver coach Darryl Drake said of Hester, “He’s improved in all areas: route-running, understanding what to do, being able to go out there and relax. Every aspect of the game he’s improved. He’s seeing things more. He’s so instinctive, so the majority of the time he’s going to be right just trusting his instincts.”
