Bears Drop Heartbreaker to Falcons

The old Charles Dickens line sums of the Chicago Bears’ game against the Atlanta Falcons, “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times…” The best of times came with less than a minute left in the game when the Bears offense pulled of a miraculous offensive drive that ended in a spectacular touchdown to give the Bears a one-point lead. With 11 seconds left on the clock, it looked like the Bears had the win in the bag. Unfortunately, in that amount of time the Falcons set themselves up for a field goal and knocked a 48-yard field goal in to win the game 22-20. That was the worst of times for the Bears.

After fighting their way to take the lead back, the loss was an even more crushing blow to the team members. Defensive tackle Tommie Harris said, “We were 11 seconds away. These are the ones that really hurt, the ones you think you have in the bag. To have it taken away, well, I can’t describe it.”

The Bears will be at home in Chicago next week hosting the Minnesota Vikings. Be there to support your team by getting Chicago Bears tickets from StubHub.com.
