Bears Encounter Former Teammate Berrian.

The Chicago Bears will be up against a familiar foe on Sunday when they take on the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. Former Bears wide receiver Bernard Berrian is suiting up in purple to face his former team, and both sides seem to be looking forward to it. Instead of the usual pre-game trash talk, the Bears and Berrian took the press time to wish each other well and even make jokes. Even the Bears’ fierce cornerback Charles Tillman had nice things to say about Berrian, telling reporters, “He had to do what was best for him and his family. That had nothing to do with the Bears or with friendship. It was just a business decision. … I’m not mad at him.”

Lovie Smith also gave his congrats to Berrian, who secured a six-year $42 million contract with the Vikings. Even with all of the warm feelings, it will inevitable be down to business for both teams come game time. Tillman will not be giving any breaks, and Berrian will be trying to earn that large contract. The Bears need to secure a win to stay on top of the NFC North and also to sway the momentum back in their favor. Get your Chicago Bears tickets from StubHub.com.
