Anyone who watched the Chicago Bears’ game against the Tennessee Titans knows what the Bears defense needs to work on and that is pass defense. The Bears themselves are just as focused on fixing the secondary. Coach Lovie Smith doesn’t see that the defense has major problems, and instead focused on small changes, saying, “I’ve heard a lot about switching up schemes and different things like that. Our scheme is good. We have to execute better; it’s as simple as that. We’ve had success with this defense and we’re not going to change up, but we’ll always tweak it. We tweak our defense each week and it’s not like we play the same call each play. We do it all, but you still have to execute when it’s called.”
Lovie Smith has reason not to change his plan too much as he heads into Sunday’s game against NFC North rival the Green Bay Packers. During his time with Chicago, Smith has had a great record against the Packers and even found his way around a passing game led by the legendary Brett Favre. Like always, the Bears/Packers match up will be a favorite of fans. Get your Chicago Bears tickets from StubHub.com.
