During this Sunday’s game, Chicago Bears fans can be sure of one thing: Jacksonville Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio will not be caught off guard by the talent of Bears running back Matt Forte. Del Rio had his eyes on the Tulane running back before he even made it into the NFL even though he had no intentions of taking another running back. He said, “I’ve got a lot of family and friends that live in Louisiana, so I’m aware of some of the things he did at Tulane. A lot of them were telling me how good he was going to be coming out. Of course we weren’t in the market for a back, but I thought he was a good back coming out and [the Bears] have got a good player there.”
Forte has been both consistent and impressive in his rookie season with the Bears. He has managed to tally 1,012 yards of rushing, ranking him fifth in the NFL. He also has tallied 10 touchdowns and 48 receptions. He is closing in on being the best Bears rookie running back ever and will just have to continue his winning ways to take the title.
