With Jerry Angelo making comments about looking for another quarterback, analysts have started to look at who is potentially on the market. Other than the draft, the Bears have the option to add a veteran from free agency. One possibility is Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner, who is about to becoming a free agent. Warner is 37 but just had an amazing season and could possibly have a few more in him. Of course, it could be like the Jets and Brett Favre, who took on a veteran with big hopes and ended up without a playoff berth.
Another option is Michael Vick. He may be PETA’s public enemy number one, but he is a talented player nonetheless. Vick is 28 years old and could potentially be ready to play next season. Vick would be a tough sell to just about any team, and he would also have to be on a relatively short leash in Chicago, no pun intended. The only way it would work is if Vick was truly a reformed citizen when he gets out. Chicago may not want to take the risk, after all, isn’t that the job of the Dallas Cowboys?
