Maclin Could Add Needed WR Threat

The Chicago Bears are looking to supplement many aspects of their game through this year’s draft, and the Bears will have to decide what position to pursue during the first round. Two of the most common predictions are for either the defensive end position or wide receiver. The Bears have a glaring need for a top-notch wide receiver, which was made apparent through the many dropped passes during the 2008 season. The Bears coaching staff are confident moving forward with quarterback Kyle Orton, but know that he needs a more dependable target in order to be more of an offensive threat.

One receiver the Bears could be looking at is Jeremy Maclin from Missouri. The All-American player has shown that he has what it takes to make it in the big leagues. He is 6 foot 1 inch and 200 pounds and able to outrun numerous top cornerbacks. This year, he had 102 receptions for 1,260 yards and 13 touchdowns as well as 293 yards and two touchdowns rushing. He has also shown that he can do well on punt and kick returns, tallying over 1,000 yards and two touchdowns. Be there to see the rookies with Chicago Bears tickets from StubHub.com.
