Most analysts are predicting that the Chicago Bears go after a wide receiver in the draft, but there are also a few top choices in that position available in free agency. One such prospect is T.J. Houshmandzadeh of the Cincinnati Bengals, who is set to be a free agent this offseason. He recently sat down on a radio show and gave his opinions about the Chicago Bears.
Although his opinion on Kyle Orton was less than glowing, he did have nice things to say about head coach Lovie Smith. He said, “Hey, and by the way, you know a coach that coached under Tony Dungy is a good coach, and a cool guy. So, that always helps. … Yeah, man, anybody that comes under Tony Dungy, if they have any type of the characteristics that Tony Dungy has, you can’t beat that.”
Houshmandzadeh has been with the Bengals since he entered the league in 2001. He worked his way to a started and last season had 92 receptions for 904 yards and four touchdowns. Last season was even better for him as he had 112 receptions, 1,143 yards and 12 touchdowns. See all of next year’s new players with Chicago Bears tickets from StubHub.com.
