Chicago Bears linebacker Lance Briggs showed the league why he is a repeat Pro Bowler as he led the NFC team in tackles with six in their 30-21 win over the AFC. The NFC team had to play catch-up after the AFC team scored their first touchdown in the first quarter when Peyton Manning hit Tony Gonzales with a 19-yard touchdown pass. The NFC team started their scoring in the second quarter with a 37-yard field goal by John Carney. The AFC widened their lead with a nine-yard touchdown pass from Kerry Collins to Owen Daniels later in the second quarter.
Larry Fitzgerald finished out the scoring in the first half by catching a 46-yard touchdown pass from Drew Brees, closing the gap to 14-10. The NFC finally took the lead in the third quarter when Adrian Peterson had a 10-yard touchdown run. The AFC took the lead back in the fourth quarter with a five-yard touchdown run by Le-Ron McClain. Larry Fitzgerald added his second touchdown soon after off of a pass from Eli Manning. John Carney finished the game with two field goals for the NFC.
