Angelo Opens Up Again

Jerry Angelo has been sitting down with Larry Mayer in the weeks leading up to the draft answering some of the tough questions that are on fans’ minds. The talk about Denver Broncos quarterback Jay Cutler is heating up since he has been a no-show at the Broncos practices and is demanding a trade.

Although Angelo didn’t answer the question of Cutler directly, he did comment about his desire to bring in talent. He said, “We always are looking for ways to improve our team and we spend a great deal of time exploring the options available to us whether it be unrestricted free agency, restricted free agents, trades, the draft, etc. We have brought in players that have helped us win through all those vehicles in my years here in Chicago… Some moves we explore become public and many others do not. Our preference would be for none of our discussions to be known until after they are complete.”

Many are predicting that Cutler will be going to his new team in the next couple of weeks. The Bears aren’t the only team vying for him, meaning securing Cutler will require a big deal from any team that wants him. See all of next year’s players with Chicago Bears tickets from StubHub.com.
