As much as the fans and coaches are excited to have Jay Cutler as the Chicago Bears’ new quarterback, his new teammates are already looking forward to taking the field with the new addition. He has already played with his offensive teammates like Earl Bennett and Chris Williams, but other players are also anticipating what Cutler will bring to the team.
Tight end Greg Olsen is one such teammate. He said, “I really don’t know much about him except that he’s a great quarterback. We expect him to come in and do what he’s done over the past couple of years, because it’s worked. He’s one of the top guys at his position in the league. We just want him to continue to do that. And we have to do our part to take some of that pressure off of him.”
Cutler seemed to have a good relationship with his tight end in Denver, Tony Scheffler, and will likely be able to utilize Olsen in a similar way. Last season, Olsen started seven out of 16 games and finished with 54 receptions, 574 yards and five touchdowns. The next few weeks will show the chemistry that Cutler has with his new teammates.
