No matter what any other coach does for the Bears, he will always be compared to legendary Bears coach Mike Ditka—and will come in behind Ditka in all Bears fans’ minds. Ditka led the Bears to the Super Bowl following the 1985 season and coached greats like Walter Payton, William Perry, Richard Dent, Mike Singletary and Jim McMahon. Recently, Ditka sat down to chat with football fans and give his opinion about the upcoming season.
About Cutler, he said, “Cutler’s a great talent. He doesn’t have the great weapons that he wants right now. But the Bears have the QB they want right now. So, now they’ll have to build up that offense.”
He also talked about what position the Bears should address in the second round of the draft. He said, “I would take a WR. If you have a QB, you need a WR to get the ball to. The leading receiver was a RB and TE. I don’t know who it would be, but they need to get an outside receiver.”
Ditka will likely be watching the Bears just as close this upcoming season as the Bears fans. Be there to cheer on the Bears this season with Chicago Bears tickets from StubHub.com.
