Cutler Impressing NFL Analysts

Jay Cutler has completely flipped upside down how the NFL analysts look at the Chicago Bears for the 2009 season. One such analyst, Sports Illustrated’s Peter King, took the Bears, who missed the playoffs last season, and ranked them number four in his power rankings. The rankings put the Bears right behind the Patriots, Steelers and Giants, teams that have all won Super Bowls in the past few seasons.

King said, “Cutler’s a big-time player, and I suspect we’ll find out over the next few years if he has nerves of steel and can win the big game… Every year I like to pick one team to make an illogical jump because or two teams always do. The Bears are my team this year. I think their defense is good enough and Jay Cutler will be a major difference-maker on offense.”

The Bears also bolstered their offensive line after adding Cutler, making sure he will be protected. With Matt Forte and Cutler as a pair, the Bears offense should look like it hasn’t in many, many years. This will be one of the best seasons to see in person, so make sure to get your Chicago Bears tickets from StubHub.
