Tinoisamoa Likes Earning His Position

New Chicago Bears linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa is settling in on the team nicely, but that doesn’t mean the buzz has quieted very much about the new addition. Despite the attention, Tinoisamoa is remaining humble and even gave an interesting reason why he chose the Bears over other teams who were after signing him.

He said, “I like the fact that I have to earn a job here. There was an opportunity to go to other teams, but it was like, ‘We’re going to give you the job.’ For me, that was awkward because I know there were guys who had been working since the end of last season, coming into this year and all the time they put in, and they felt like they were the starter, and all of a sudden somebody comes in and because he led another team in tackles and takes their job? I wouldn’t appreciate that. So I didn’t want to go into a situation like that, and the fact that I have to come and earn a job, it definitely makes me more hungry because now I know I have to earn my job, it’s not just given to me.”
