Bears Stars Fighting Injuries

Tommie Harris isn’t the only one who is overcoming injuries this offseason. Charles Tillman, Brian Urlacher and Matt Forte are also staving off injuries. Urlacher didn’t participate in practice this week, but Tillman’s shoulder was finally feeling better after his surgery. Tillman said, “Felt good … shoulder, shoulders feel fine. Any rehab is tough, no matter what it is, especially doing it in the short period of time that we do it. I’m not going to say it was easy, but I’m not going to say it was hard, either. It was a challenge, and I overcame it.”

Matt Forte is nursing a hamstring injury and he said, “I’m just rehabbing right now, trying to get the hamstring better, so there’s no telling. When it happened, it didn’t feel right and didn’t feel regular. That’s why I stopped. You have to know your body.”

The Bears are being careful to keep their stars healthy in this offseason as there are many high expectations for this season. Last season, more than a few games were lost in the final minutes when the defense couldn’t hold up, and the Bears are fighting hard to make sure that doesn’t happen again.
