Hester Shaping Up To Be Top Talent

This week, the position coaches for the Chicago Bears have been giving their take on the upcoming season and how the players are shaping up in their position. Wide receivers coach Darryl Drake was the latest to give his opinions, and most fans were wondering what he thinks about moving forward with Devin Hester as the Bears’ number one wide receiver.

Like others, Drake has high hopes for Hester. He said, “I think he can be the best, and my expectations are just that. His expectations are just that. We’re not trying to sell ourselves short. We’re trying to reach for the stars. He’s got that kind of ability and that kind of mindset, so we’re going to go for it. We’ve got some goals we want to attain and he’s got some goals he wants to attain, so we’ll see what happens.”

Hester has been with the Bears since he entered the league in 2006. He made waves throughout the league because of his kick return ability, and the Bears decided to expand his use by turning him into a wide receiver. Last season, he played in 15 games and started eight, tallying 51 receptions, 665 yards and three touchdowns. See him this season with Chicago Bears tickets from StubHub.
