The upcoming Chicago Bears preseason game is going to carry a little more weight than the previous two. That is because the Bears will be taking on the Denver Broncos on Sunday. Normally, these non-division teams wouldn’t bring any more heated competition than any other preseason game, but that was before Jay Cutler became a Chicago Bear.
The reason Cutler left Denver was because of his falling out with new head coach Josh McDaniels, but McDaniels is trying to downplay that this game holds any special meaning. He said, “No, it is just another great opportunity for us to fix things that we haven’t done well. We are trying to go out there and fix some things that we made mistakes on [against] Seattle today. This game is another step in our process of getting ready for the regular season. If you try to make too much of the game or the opponent in the preseason, I think you are kind of missing the point. The point is it is an opportunity for us to go out there and improve, and that is what we are going to treat it as.”
Anyone who has followed the story knows that McDaniels isn’t quite being realistic. See the Bears this season with Chicago Bears tickets from StubHub.
