Cutler Needs to Rebound in Week 2

With linebacker Brian Urlacher out and the defense reshuffling, the success of the offense is even more key to this season’s success. In a nutshell, that means that Jay Cutler can never again have a game like he did against the Green Bay Packers last Sunday. Cutler isn’t known for throwing multiple interceptions, and looking at his record in Denver shows that he rarely has games like Sunday’s.

One person who has confidence in Cutler is coach Lovie Smith, who said, “Jay has to play better and he will play better. Some of the things he did in the game, we can’t live with. His first preseason game he didn’t play as well as he did his second preseason game. He’ll get back off [to] a good start against the Steelers this week… Experience teaches me that. I’ve seen it before. Preseason [game] one to two he played well, and I’m hoping the same thing will happen in the regular season. He’s a good player. All quarterbacks will have games that they’re not proud of and would like to have back. But it’s about coming back. He’s a competitor. He’s in a good place right now. He’ll come back as strong as ever this week.”

Cutler has a tough game this week against the famed Steelers defense. If he can perform well against the defending Super Bowl champions, Cutler will win back some fan confidence he lost. See him play this season with Chicago Bears tickets from StubHub.
