Despite their forecasted shortcomings before the season began, the Chicago Bears wide receivers have been doing an impressive job. The rumor mill, though, is churning out reports that the Bears are in the market for a veteran wide receiver. And not just any veteran wide receiver: the one and only Terrell Owens. That’s right, the same T.O. that has yet to find a team where he won’t cause problems. He joined the Buffalo Bills before the start of the season, but their abysmal start has the administrative staff looking to make changes. Would the Bears take a chance on such a player? It is hard to tell.
On one hand, T.O. is undeniably one of the elite receivers in the game, and T.O. will inform anyone within earshot of that fact constantly. His talent, however, comes with one BIG caveat. He is a baby. He whines when he doesn’t think he gets the ball enough and stirs up contention on any team he is on. If the NFL were kindergarten, T.O.’s report card would read “doesn’t play well with others.” He has made a concerted effort to turn around his reputation, but that is quite the risk for the Bears to take.
