Outspoken hardly begins to describe Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco. The Chicago Bears are up against the Bengals this weekend, and surprisingly Ochocinco has been doing the opposite of trash talking during a conference call.
Instead, he voiced his respect for cornerback Charles Tillman and said, “I’ve been studying film on ‘Peanut’ since training camp. He’s really, really good, man. I know I’ve been playing around on Twitter and going back and forth with the nonsense, it’s the way I play the game, but he looks really good. He’s shut down some top receivers, so it’s going to be a fun, interesting matchup come Sunday.”
Ochocinco also commented on the two-year contract extension the Bears gave quarterback Jay Cutler, as he had previously joked about being a vital part of that deal on Twitter. He said, “Just having fun man. Congrats to Jay, it was well deserved. He’s one of the best in the game, regardless of what other people think. I’ve seen him play, and I see some of things he can do on the field, and trust me it’s deserved.”
He also had shoutouts for linebacker Lance Briggs and wide receiver Johnny Knox. Looks like he has more than a few friends in Chicago. See them live with Chicago Bears tickets from StubHub.
