Chicago Bears Top New York Giants

The Chicago Bears claimed dominance of the NFC with yesterday’s 38-20 victory over the New York Giants in New York. The Bears came back from an early deficit, roaring back to life in the second half to improve to 8-1 on the season. Bears fans almost had a meltdown by halftime with the Bears squandering every opportunity, turning the ball over, and struggling to stop a cruising Giants offense. Grossman started off the game with an interception that led to the first Giants touchdown, but to be fair that interception was more the fault of his offensive line.

But the second half was all Bears, highlighted by a 108 yard touchdown on a missed field goal by Devin Hester. Grossman finished the game completing 18 of 30 passes for 246 yards and a 105.7 passes rating. Grossman threw three touchdowns within a nine-minute period spanning the second and third quarters. Thomas Jones rushed for 113 yards and 1 TD on 30 carries while Muhsin Muhammad caught 7 passes for 123 yards and 1 TD.
